Posted a few new pieces in the ‘color’ section!! An in progress shot of the 1st ession of KC’s Michael Hussar inspired handshot, and a big project I finished up on Hannah. Reference for rib piece was based off a Silvia Ji piece, so fun to do. Lots of hours, money and dedication went into such a big piece. Im always so thankful to be blessed with the amazing clients and true collectors I tattoo on a daily basis. You all know who you are, thank you!! Hope life is golden

How so many tattooers are sellout motherfuckers these days. Everyone is sponsored by someone, everyone has their own instructional books/dvds/seminars. Everyone has the best ink and the best machines! Fuck all that shit! These motherfuckers are talented as artists and their tattoos reflect their art, so don’t waste your money trying to replicate that shit! No matter how much cash you throw at all that crap, its all a fucking gimmick. A good tattooer can take any machine and make it work to suit their style! They’re taking your insecurities and inexperience all the way to the bank buddy.
I’m by no means saying I’m anything special, but at least I can fucking say that I aint a punk. I tattoo the best that I can on every piece I do and try to make my client happy. These sellout motherfuckers are cashing in on you. Don’t worship them, cuz they dont have anything figured out you cant figure out yourself. Draw and paint as much as you can, critique your pieces with an unbiased eye, never stop learning. A machine is a tool. An instructional book/dvd is a fucking gimmick! Look back at the classic artists of history and you’ll have a whole world opened up to you….for FREE.
Tattooing needs to go back to it’s roots where you couldnt buy a fucking kit in every magazine you pick up. Where every asshole who thinks he is a “prodigy” has his head so far up his ass he can’t see how much of a douchebag he has become. We are in an amazing industry that is getting pillaged and raped for a fucking buck. So keep doing the conventions that are put on by companies not at all related to our business. Keep buying all this fucking crap that will make you a better tattooer. Keep worshipping these myspace tattoo gods who’s tattoos healed look like a blob of shit!! You are feeding the ugly as machine thats killing us.
We are tattooing these people forever and no matter how small or seemingly stupid each piece is, it deserves respect. And all you fucking sellout faggots out there…pull your head out your asses cuz you need a good old school bitchslap to the face. You aint better than anyone, you were at one point just as lost and scared to tattoo as anyone else.
This industry is a beautiful, old school art…that used to have respect and tradition to it. Don’t forget your roots. Don’t forget the OG motherfuckers who blazed the path for you. Cuz its getting lost in a sea of shit and it’s fucking disgusting.
Thats just me and my opinion so fuck it…who the fuck am I? No one. Just some asshole who loves and respects what he does and is sick of what I continue to see growing around me on a daily basis. Love it or hate it you cant fucking deny it.

Put up some new stuff today! I have some really cool projects I’ve been working on that are going to be completed soon that I’m excited to get up, a couple zombie girl tattoos that should be sickly. Gotta get wrapping up some paintings in progress in the near future as well..so watch the artwork section for that.
Things at the shop have been really good lately, the guys are all doing some really nice work, and we just added to the family with Matt Jones from Colorado joining our team.. Stay tuned to the Stay True site staytruephx.com to see his portfolio! We’re all gearing up to do the Valley of the Sun Tattoo Convention Apr30th-May 2nd in Mesa We got a double booth this year and are excited to have Oz back with us for the 3rd year in a row.

So I’m really just learning to use this whole thing…stay tuned very soon for a twitter feed, merchandise(prints of paintings and some sweet tshirt/hoodie action), photos of the shop, a couple new pieces that are almost done, and a few other cool things…bear with me..
